Fall Baseball

We have been getting many inquiries regarding fall baseball options - below are the options for Elk River Baseball players:

OPTION 1) ELK RIVER YOUTH FALL BASEBALL LEAGUE -  Ages 7-9.   THIS LEAGUE IS RUN THROUGH ELK RIVER BASEBALL!

Last year we tried a pilot ER league for players who just hadn't had enough baseball yet to get them through the winter. We had approximately 50 players and 4 teams.  
 
The pilot went well and it appears that the interest level is increasing this year in the 7-9 year old range. We're still working out the logistics of it all and creating a game plan accordingly that will be published soon.
 
Board Member Dennis Haus will be the commissioner for that league so if there's interest in coaching please be watching the website for more information, or contact Dennis via email.
 
OPTION 2) MYAS fall competitive league - Ages 10+.   THIS LEAGUE IS RUN THROUGH MYAS (www.myas.org) and is intended for kids 10 and up.  There is a fall league for each age level (10U, 11U....etc), and also each skill level (recreational or competitive).

This league's age rule is dependent on your childs age as of May 1, 2011. If they turn 11 before May 1, 2011 they would have to play in the MYAS 11U fall league. In each MYAS league there is a recreational and a competitive baseball league playing against good talent throughout the Twin Cities on 5 consecutive Sundays (minimum two games per Sunday) starting September 12th.
 
If there is interest in joining an MYAS fall league, you can try to recruit other Elk River kids to sign up as a group or a team.  Feel free to email info@elkriverbaseball.com if you want to be put into contact with other Elk River kids looking to play - or if you are looking for other Elk River kids to join your group.  

The leagues are reasonably priced at $80 or $90/player.
